May 20 at 10:05 AMThis has been one of the most helpful things. A lot of the plastic I was tossing is actually recyclable. There is a place in Columbia Heights I can bring it to and they turn it into park benches and so on.

May 20 at 10:04 AMI am trying to reduce to two total loads of laundry per week for me and my daughter's clothes, sheets, towels. And try to only wash cloth napkins and kitchen towels and so on once a month - which means rinsing and hanging them to dry more instead of throwing them in the laundry shoot everytime something is dirty.

I usually only buy a couple items that need a bag (like string beans), everything else I just leave loose.
