Complete a Waste Audit

Week 1 Focus: Recycling and Composting
Toppling the Styrofoam™ Mountain!
This is a BIG goal to keep Polystyrene out of Landfills, and utilize "Densification" technology to turn it into material that has an end use... (Outdoor Furniture, Picture Frames etc.) My biggest passion is Composting, but this is right on its heels, as I believe this will serve to save valuable space at local Landfills for more appropriate materials.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.

Troy Rognrud 5/28/2021 9:57 AMI joined this challenge because I have committed to doing my part to get recycling, compost and trash going into the right "Stream"! -
Troy Rognrud 5/28/2021 9:50 AMThis Zero Waste challenge is an ongoing process... I kind of prefer to say "Near Zero Waste", or "Lower Waste lifestyle", as saying "Zero Waste" can set me (And others I encourage) up for failure since it is very difficult to achieve that standard.
I will continue to push myself to "reduce my footprint", and inspire others to do the same!

Troy Rognrud 5/25/2021 11:19 AMThe HCZWC is going well for me, I just completed the previous Henn Co Zero Waste Challenge, and took the Henn Co Master Recycling/Compost class, (MRC) so this is fresh in my mind! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAt Home De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Troy Rognrud 5/25/2021 11:13 AMFor me, I just have to take a few extra seconds to think about need vs want, and that usually does the trick.
