I will recycle while on the go, but if I can't find a recycling receptacle, I'll bring it home with me.
At Home
Skip the Paper Plates
My household of 2 will use reusable dishes instead of disposable dishes.
At Home
Complete a Waste Audit
I will conduct a waste audit - including recyclables and compostables - to understand how much waste I create and where I can reduce the most.
At Home
De-Clutter My Home
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home.

Hallie Richards 5/14/2021 1:42 PMStyrofoam has bothered me for so long --- thanks for mentioning that Columbia Heights recycling takes it!! Woohoo, I'll save it up and make a run soon. Also, my local UPS store will accept styrofoam and other packing "peanuts" to reuse. Don't know if others do that too.-
Anne Richards 5/19/2021 2:49 PMThis is good to know. I genuinely cringe when I see places still using styrofoam. It makes me so upset cause there are so many other alternatives now!
