A month feels like a long time, but it is worth it to try and learn some new habits

Agreed! I’m finding it hard to stay on top of this daily with work and general life, the emails have been a great help and reminder!

Styrofoam has bothered me for so long --- thanks for mentioning that Columbia Heights recycling takes it!!  Woohoo, I'll save it up and make a run soon. Also, my local UPS store will accept styrofoam and other packing "peanuts" to reuse. Don't know if others do that too.

This is good to know. I genuinely cringe when I see places still using styrofoam. It makes me so upset cause there are so many other alternatives now!

Remember my Mom, which I did lots yesterday. She taught my by example to smooth, save, and reuse tinfoil, wash and reuse plastic bags, and only do a load of laundry when there was a full one.
