REFLECTION QUESTIONWeek 2 Focus: Packaging and Low-Waste ShoppingWhat types of foods are on your "eat this first" space in the refrigerator?
Amanda Jenson 5/19/2021 8:33 AMUsually, always leftovers first and we prioritize veggies and/or fruits that have a shorter shelf life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAt HomeWere you able to avoid using paper plates entirely? If not, what is holding you back and what could you change to make it possible?
Amanda Jenson 5/19/2021 8:32 AMMy family of 4 avoids paper plates entirely, but it does get tough if we're having a gathering to celebrate a birthday or something. We just don't have that many plates! In this case, I will try to purchase compostable plates in the future.-
Samantha Weatherston 5/28/2021 7:39 PMThis is what I did for some pre-covid birthday parties-- I went to Goodwill and bought plates and napkins from their party section. In some ways I feel this is cheating...I guess I am taking advantage of others' overpurchasing. My kids were fine with a mishmash of Batman, space theme, Snoopy, Happy Birthday, etc.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWeek 2 Focus: Packaging and Low-Waste ShoppingHow have you adjusted your habits to use a grocery list and account for things you already have at home? Do you use pen and paper, or have you gone digital?
Amanda Jenson 5/15/2021 7:46 PMWe still currently use a paper list that has a magnet on our refrigerator. But thinking about going digital so it can be updated anytime in real time.
