Reflection QuestionAt Home Switch to Reusable Napkins and TowelsIs there anything you like more about using cloth and towels napkins than paper napkins and towels? If not, how do you stick to the habit?
Tamra Falk 6/03/2020 8:41 AMI don't buy paper napkins or paper towels. My husband has been hassled by me too many times that he doesn't buy them either. And we survive! You use a towel and you wash it. No big deal. -
Reflection QuestionAt Home Skip the Paper PlatesWere you able to avoid using paper plates entirely? If not, what is holding you back and what could you change to make it possible?
Tamra Falk 6/03/2020 8:40 AMI never use disposable products that can be replaced by reusable products. Period. Full stop. -
Reflection QuestionAt Home De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Tamra Falk 6/03/2020 8:39 AMI don't go anywhere to shop. When I am tempted to buy ANYTHING I put it in the cart and then let it sit there. If I still want/need it a few days later I will think it over again. I buy very very little. -
Reflection QuestionAt Home No More Wish-cyclingWhat have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?
Tamra Falk 6/03/2020 8:38 AMI have not learned anything about remote recycling. The most difficult part of recycling is when there are products that only come in plastic that does not appear to be recycled anywhere near me. -
Reflection QuestionAt Home Hold the MailReducing your paper mail can be such a freeing action to take -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin, too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?
Tamra Falk 6/03/2020 8:37 AMI am always contacting companies to decrease mailing and rejecting businesses that send wide-spread indiscriminate circulars. -
Reflection QuestionAt Home Recycle Plastic CapsWhat are some things you can do to avoid using plastic bottles and plastic caps in the first place?
-
Reflection QuestionAt Home Recycle Plastic BagsHas separating your plastic bags for recycling helped you identify how you might reduce how many you have? What are you doing differently now?
Tamra Falk 6/03/2020 8:35 AMI am rejecting items that come in plastic bags. I am using plastic bags on hand for other things. I am taking my groceries in the cart to my car and then putting them into reusable bags. -
Reflection QuestionAt Home Recycle Paper, Cardboard, Plastic, Metal and GlassWhat motivates you the most to recycle: protecting the environment, future generations, creating jobs in the recycling industry, because your neighbors do it, or some other reason?
